Friday is the sixth day of the Islamic week. The literal meaning of Friday is the congregation. In Islam, that day is more important than on any other day of the week. Every Friday, the Jummah prayer is offered and, for that prayer, a special time is given. Imams of all the masjids deliver khutbah on a special issue every Friday. From several ahadith, it is proven that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to celebrate this day and he declared jummah as a weekly eid for Muslims. He is accustomed to wearing clean and new clothes (washed), used to bathe, use fragrance, use surmah especially for that day.
